Sony has just announced that it’s to manufacture a new DSLR system, called the “Alpha” – after buying out Konica-Minolta, this news probably isn’t all that unsurprising. Compatible with existing Konica-Minolta lenses, this new brand is definitely good news for people with investments in that system, and it’s good to see a bit more competition in the DSLR space to keep Nikon and Canon on their toes.
