Lensbaby ahoy! · Apr 11, 11:39 AM by Simon Mackie
I’ve just taken delivery of a shiny new lensbaby – basically a bellows-like lens that allows you to selectively focus on different parts of your image. You push and pull on the end of the lens to focus, but you can also bend the bellows around to move the focus “sweet spot” around the image.
First impressions are that it’s going to be a bit tricky to master – aperture is changed by swaping out different sized disks, and holding the focal point is unusual, especially at larger apertures – but loads of fun and should result in some creative work. I’ll have a full review and tutorial soon.
