According to a post over on the flickr Canon DSLR group, in an interview with Popular Photography magazine for their April issue, Canon have stated that the next advance for the 5D will be “expand exposure latitude and brightness range to more closely resemble print-film latitude.”. This sounds like Canon are moving in the right direction; I’m happy with the megapixel count in DSLRs, but having greater dynamic range (appproaching that of film) would be really useful.
